Las Americas: Jeudi/ Thursday 31.03.2011

Encore un grand tour en vélo ce matin. Avec Jens nous avons mis au point notre menu pour samedi et mon job aujourd’hui était de repérer où on peut trouver tout ce dont on a besoin. Mission accomplie. Je n’ai pas acheté mais je sais où j’achèterai demain. Nous serons quinze. L’hôtel nous prête la vaisselle et, encore mieux, la lave après. Ce sera un « asado noruego »! Asado c’est le grill et si un pays est spécialiste du grill c’est bien l’Argentine. Donc parler d’un grill norvégien, pour les Argentins, c’est comme parler d’un tango groenlandais! Mais en Norvège aussi on fait des grills, mais différents.

J’ai encore fait des photos de corbeilles. C’est incroyable la variété qu’il y a. C’est très rare que j’en trouve deux pareilles. Elles sont faites par des ferronniers locaux.

Jens rentre, se repose un peu et nous nous baignons. Puis il travaille et après, nous dinons dans le jardin. Nous allons prendre le café à la station service. J’emporte l’appareil photo pour essayer de faire des photos de bus la nuit. Dans la journée ils ne sont pas très beaux, un peu vieux, mais la nuit certains sont décorés de lumières rouges et vertes et ils ont alors beaucoup plus d’allure. Mais je n’en ai pas vu, juste un normal.

A long bike ride this morning too. With Jens we have decided our menu for Saturday and today it was my job to locate where we can find everything we need. Mission accomplished. I did not buy food today but I know where I will buy it tomorrow. We will be fifteen. The hotel lent us the dishes and even better, they wash them after the party. This will be an "Asado Noruego”! Asado means grill and if a country is very good at grilling it is Argentina. So a Norwegian grill for them is like talking about a tango in Greenland! But in Norway we also make grills, just different.
I took pictures of baskets today. It's amazing the variety there is. It's very rare that I find two alike. They are made by local blacksmiths.
Jens returns from work, is resting a bit and we swim. Then he worked and after that we dine in the garden. We have coffee at the gas station. I take the camera to try to take pictures of a bus by night. During the day they are not very nice, a bit old, but at night some are decorated with red and green lights and then they seem much more beautiful. But I have not seen one like that, just a normal one.
